Hi everyone! This blog post is a slightly shorter one than usual as there’s not much I can say about this picture, but I’ll do my best!

I decided to take a shot like this when I saw someone’s Instagram where they were high up dangling off the edge and it looked amazing to me and inspired me to try something similar myself.

Since I live in the countryside and there isn’t many high-rise buildings, I decided to go to my local river where there is a raised platform on the edge. When I got to the location, I was extremely nervous as the drop was around 15 feet so had to watch my step! I nervously climbed over the metal railing and lowered myself into the position in the picture.

Filled with adrenaline as I’m not much of a daredevil, I took around 30 photos at different angles and quickly went back over the railing back to safety. Once I had viewed all the phots, I picked the best one and began editing it in Adobe Lightroom on my iPad. The photo was more difficult than I first imagined to edit as my Yeezys were already extremely bright so had to create various colour masks to ensure the saturation and colour vibrancy wasn’t unrealistic.

After around 10 minutes of editing, my photo was finally complete! I scheduled the post to be published using Hootsuite and awaited the scheduled date. Overall, I think this is one of my favourite posts I’ve taken up to now as it was fairly challenging to take as oppose to my usual shots.

One of my recent photos I decided to take was on the bridge over my local canal. I planned the outfit a few days before and thought that I’d wear a fair amount of my Gucci products with some other brands thrown in the mix. 💸

When the day came to take the photo, it was extremely bright but when I walked outside it was freezing cold so in heinseit, I should’ve left it to another day. 😂 Despite this, I chose to proceed with the picture so put on my Gucci Cap, T-Shirt, and belt with my Versace jeans and Yeezys, packed my camera equipment in my backpack and set off for my desired location.

I walked up and down the canal, searching for the right shot and finally landed here, which I think frames the canal rather well and gives a good insight into the countryside where I live!

I setup my iPad on my tripod and at first, attempted to stand on the wall of the bridge but after realising how far the drop was into the water behind me, and it being a windy day, I decided to take a sit down shot. 🌉

After around 40 attempts and not much look, just when I was thinking of giving up and trying it another day, I took the perfect shot. 📸 Once I knew I’d got the right photo, I edited it into its final form using Lightroom on my iPad to enhance the vibrancy and saturation of the colours and to highlight certain parts of the image more than others.
